Michelle’s work is inspired by the natural beauty of Maine, with a particular focus on the everyday scenes that are often overlooked. Her work features landscapes, primarily of Maine and the surrounding New England states.

She primarily work in oils, often on birch panels, and is particularly drawn to expressive brush strokes and movement in the paint. She often works with palette knives in addition to or instead of brushes to create a layered, textural surface. Michelle paints on location in the summer and in the studio during the winter months.
